What is mr. sock?

We are a network of professionals helping you to meet your fundraising needs with a unique program which is tailored to your school or organization. Our goal is to assist you in every way possible, and we desire that you have great success with this program.

Can I really make a good profit for my school or organization?

Obviously, any fundraising effort depends upon getting the participants involved and excited. With our school logo sock program, we recommend that the kids be involved in the design, to ensure that they will be excited about the program. Sport socks are an item that almost everyone wears and wears out, so there is a continual need. Since our socks are reasonably priced (actually VERY reasonably priced in Program 2) and your school or organization makes a 50% profit, there is the opportunity for this to be a major fundraiser. Even a relatively small school with 200 students participating at a average of 5 packs per student will result in 1000 packs sold, generating $5000 from Program 1 or $2500 from Program 2 to meet your needs. Of course, the more students participating, the more potential profit to you.

What are the minimums for my order?

We have an order minimum of 100 packs of school logo socks in any 1 style(3 pairs per pack). in Program 1 and 200 packs(2 pairs per pack) in Program 2.. Within those minimums, we also have a minimum of 20 packs of any size and style combination—such as low-cut, large or quarter crew, medium. We do not have minimums on our stock items; however, there will be a shipping charge if the order is less than 20 packs. Obviously, that charge would not apply if we have made an error in shipping and are correcting it.

How about shipping?

Our policy has been to include shipping in the cost of our goods, but, with the increased cost of shipping, we may have to add a small shipping fee to some of our more distant locations. We are in the process of looking at costs. We want to make it easy for you, and we want to continue to provide an outstanding product at a very fair price.

How would this fit in with my other fundraisers?

Because the socks are made specifically for your school, they have a unique appeal which is different from most other fundraisers. Obviously, socks are an item that parents are already buying for their children, so this product lends itself to a natural and easy sale. There is potential to raise significant amounts of money, which could limit the number of fundraisers which you would need to run. Many schools do sell candy as an ongoing fundraiser in the office, lunchroom or other student gathering place, and this program would not cut into the profits from those sales. There is, also, a built-in market with your athletic teams and cheerleaders, who love to have unique socks which show their school spirit. In fact, once coaches and athletic directors see our product, they often opt to make them a mandatory part of the school’s sports uniforms.

Do I need to do an initial order?

No, you are not required to do an initial order. You can simply use the personalized sales brochure and take orders before placing your order, but the socks are easier to sell if the kids can actually see them and get excited about them. Many schools do choose to order the minimum order or more of the school logo socks and sell from that stock. If you do decide to do an initial order, we will help you to decide what an appropriate mix of sizes and styles might be for your particular situation.

What do the students use for selling materials?

We send you a customized brochure by email, and you can use it as is or customize it to your needs and print off as many copies as you desire. The brochures are tailored to your school with pictures of your school’s logo socks in addition to personalized headings. The sales brochure also includes pictures of our stock items which will appeal to those who do not want the school logo socks, but who still wish to support the fundraiser.

Do the socks really appeal to students and other buyers?

It should be obvious that no one item will appeal to everyone; however, most students are interested in showing their school spirit, and the cheerleaders and athletes will often desire to have the logo socks as part of their uniform. We have deliberately chosen to put in some other items which will appeal to those who may not desire the logo socks. The uniqueness and the high quality make the mr. sock program a good choice to make both the students and the parents happy.

Do the students need to collect money when the orders are taken?

If you are selling with a brochure and taking orders, we strongly recommend this procedure, since it is far easier on both you and the students at the time of delivery. We ask that you send us payment within fourteen days of receiving your order, and, if you have collected the money up front, you will have the money to pay our invoice and your profit already in your account.

Is there a penalty if the invoice is not paid within fourteen days?

Because of our contractual agreement with our supplier, we must charge 5% additional on all payments made after the fourteen day period following the delivery of the socks. There will be an additional 5% charge if the socks are not paid within a 45-day period. We recognize that some districts have complicated policies which may require a little more time than 14 days, and we can make special arrangements for your situation.

Are the socks made in the United States?

Yes, they are made in the region of Fort Payne, Alabama, in the area known as the “Sock Capitol of the World.” We use state-of-the-art, computerized knitting machines to produce very high quality footwear.

How does the guarantee work?

The socks are fully performance guaranteed by the manufacturer, and if you are unhappy with the performance in any way, the socks can be returned for replacement.

Can I do an intricate mascot logo and would this cost extra?

As you can see from the sampling of designs on this web site, we can knit a very complicated design into your school logo socks, if you are using Program 1. The main factor to consider, however, is whether the design will appeal to the students. Currently, the most popular style with older kids is low-cut, and a large design will not fit. We strongly recommend that the logo design fit on the low-cut style and that the kids get a chance to help in making the decision. Often, the team mascot name in the appropriate color or colors is the best and most appealing choice. We have a selection of logos which we have used successfully in a large number of schools. There is no extra charge for any unique name or any of the large number of logos that we have done before. However, we will be glad to design special logos for your situation, though we will have to charge a one-time set-up fee of $50.00, because that is a time-consuming process for our designer.
